Information for customers pursuant to art. 13 of European Regulation 679/2016 and payment conditions – Bicycle rental and excursions

  • Payment methods : Payment can be made electronically or in cash at the time of booking. For online bookings, only electronic payment is accepted.
  • Cancellation policy due to bad weather : In case of cancellation due to bad weather conditions, the full amount will be refunded to the customer.
  • Cancellation policy for other reasons : If the customer cancels the reservation for reasons other than bad weather, the amount will still be refunded within 24 hours before the start of the reservation. After this period, a voucher of equal value will be issued which can be spent over the course of a year.

RENTAL REGULATIONS

  1. The rental and use of the bicycle (hereinafter also the vehicle) presupposes the knowledge and unconditional acceptance by the Customer of these regulations, the rates, the opening and closing times of the Rental Company as indicated.
  2. To obtain the rental of a bicycle, the Customer must first present a valid identity document to the Renter and formalize the contract.
  3. The use of the bicycle is reserved for adults unless the minor is accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian) who assumes full responsibility.
  4. The use of a bicycle presupposes the physical fitness and technical expertise of those who intend to ride it. Therefore, by renting the bicycle, the Customer declares to be equipped with adequate capacity and appropriate competence, without placing any reservations and declaring to hold the Renter harmless for this purpose from any consequences. The use of a helmet is mandatory and can be rented or brought from home.
  5. The bicycle is to be used exclusively as a means of transport and must be treated with care, common sense and diligence, in order to avoid damage to both it and its accessories. The use of the bicycle to carry out commercial activities is prohibited and it is not possible to give it away for use by other parties.
  6. The Customer is responsible for the bicycle until it is returned to the Renter; he is also responsible for damage caused to himself, to the bicycle, to third parties and things during the use of the vehicle. No form of compensation may be requested from the Renter.
  7. During the rental the Customer does not benefit from any form of insurance nor is the bicycle covered by third party insurance. The Customer is required to respect the rules of the Highway Code. The Renter declines any form of responsibility in the event of improper use of the vehicle or failure to comply with the Highway Code.
  8. The Renter has contracted a suitable Insurance Policy for any damage occurring to the Customer for reasons resulting from the lack of or incorrect maintenance of the vehicle granted for use, attributable to the Renter.
  9. The Renter can carry out checks on Users during the use of the bicycles and can request their return if he detects conditions of improper use of the vehicle. The Renter may refuse rental to people who are drunk or under the influence of drugs, as well as for other reasons at his sole discretion.
  10. In the event of loss of keys, bicycle accessories or damage, the Renter will request from the Customer the sum necessary for the original restoration of the vehicle, on the basis of the attached price list to be understood as known and accepted, except for major damage that can be documented with the supplier’s estimate.
  11. The bicycle must be returned, respecting the times communicated to the same place where it was rented. The bicycle is considered returned only if returned directly to the Renter; Parking the bicycle outside the rental point during closing hours cannot be considered a return. Failure to return the bicycle without prior communication or in any case not motivated by exceptional circumstances will be reported to the Judicial Authority and the appropriate hourly increases will be applied.
  12. The Customer may request the Renter to intervene to collect the bicycle, the cost of which is indicated in the price list; the Renter is in any case not required to intervene, and failure to intervene cannot be the cause of any breach attributable to the Renter.
  13. The Customer must pay the fee in advance at the time of rental and is in any case required to pay any additional sums due for holding the vehicle beyond the required time and in any case until he/she presents himself for the closing of the rental contract, in addition to any charges for damage, total or partial theft.
  14. In the event of theft of the bicycle, the Customer must present the Renter with a report to the judicial authority regarding the incident, specifying all the conditions of place, time and ways in which the event occurred, also providing maximum collaboration to the Renter.
  15. In the event of theft, the Customer is required to reimburse the damage to the Renter on the basis of what is indicated above.
  16. For anything not foreseen and regulated in this contract, the relationship between the Parties (contracting parties) is governed by the rules of the civil code. For any dispute arising between the Parties, the competent court is exclusively that of Ferrara.
  17. By signing this contract, the Customer declares to have been informed that the personal data provided and/or acquired by the Renter as part of its activity, necessary to carry out the services offered, will be processed in compliance with the legislation on privacy and the principles of correctness, Of lawfulness, Of transparency and of protection of your privacy and your rights, in compliance with the provisions of the European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
